Rivers having been rushing torrents for the last two weeks, and the Niagara River has been mud brown 75% of the time from winds gusting high as 120km/h. We've tried to pick our battles and make the best of it but it has been pretty hit and miss.
When things have calmed down the fishing has been decent, and will continue to improve over the next two months. Salmon are done, Brown Trout are in full swing and Steelhead are around just about everywhere. Quinte is turning up its usual "fall gold" in the form of giant walleye.
